The activities of the Lab include:

  • To conduct research on the subject matter of the Laboratory members.
  • To conduct research on teaching and research needs at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
  • The cooperation of any kind and the exchange of scientific knowledge with other Academic Institutions or Research Centers in Greece or abroad, as long as their scientific objectives coincide or complement each other with those of the Laboratory in a spirit of reciprocity and collectivity. Within the framework of the cooperation, it is possible to cover teaching and research needs of joint inter-institutional collaborations involving the University of Western Attica.
  • The organization of scientific lectures, workshops, seminars, symposiums, conferences and exhibitions, as well as the publication of publications, publications and the invitation of Greek and foreign recognized scientists and other personalities. They are detailed here
  • Collaboration with public sector bodies, local authorities, scientific and social institutions, as well as international organizations and organizations to help study and submit proposals and alternative methods to address problems that fall within the laboratory’s research interests.
  • Collaboration with private organizations, private laboratories and industries as well as social guidance organizations to study or troubleshoot or to promote research on subjects within the research interests of the Lab.
  • Undertaking consultancy or development projects and studies aimed at meeting the needs of society as well as undertaking and implementing national and international research projects.
  • Curriculum Reforms, with Information Technology, Internet Courses and Expertise with Distance Education: Member of the Laboratory is a member of the Working Committee of the Institute for Educational Policy for Reforming the Computer Science of the 3rd Grade General Informatics
  • European and International Standardization in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for Learning, Education and Training: Member of the Laboratory is the National Representative of the Greek Organization for Standardization in ISO (JTC1 SC36 “Information Technology for Learning, Education and Training”) and Vice-Chair of the European Standardization Committee (CEN) TC 353 “ICT for Learning, Education and Training”
  • Organization of training, training or specialization programs for teachers or science scientists wishing to become teachers. The Laboratory has developed a lifelong learning program “Teaching Strategies and Learning Technologies”, while at the final approval stage is the Postgraduate Postgraduate Program “Digital Transformation and Educational Practice” which co-organizes through the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering (as supervisor) with the Pedagogical Department of ASPAITE and the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science of the University of Athens
  • The preparation of studies and technical specifications for the services of the University of Western Attica or other private and public bodies in matters related to the fields of the Laboratory.
  • Any other provision of services according to academic ethics in objects
